The College Park High School EcoTech Academy offers a truly interdisciplinary course of study, personalized to meet the needs of each student. In a smaller school atmosphere, students explore the most exciting education and career opportunities today. The Academy offers college prep courses in grades 9- 12 in addition to the organic food and horticulture gardens, photography and television studios, and field trips into nature and to cultural events. With an eye on global environments and local action, students become involved in their studies using a variety of state-of-the-art communication technologies, including traditional and digital photography, video production, television broadcasting, and online productions. Every Academy course integrates food and flower gardens to illustrate principles of nature and to enrich the student experience. Students learn and practice the principles of local and global stewardship, citizenship, leadership, and public service.
